Just returned from the most magical solo adventure to Udo Island, and I'm already planning my next trip back! This tiny island off the coast of Jeju stole my heart completely. Here's my detailed 3-day itinerary for fellow solo female travelers.
Day 1: Arrival & Island Orientation 🚢
Morning (9:00 AM)
- Caught the ferry from Seongsan Port to Udo Island (15-minute ride)
- Pro tip: Book accommodation in advance - I stayed at a cozy guesthouse near Udo Harbor
Afternoon (11:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Rented an electric scooter (so fun and easy to navigate!)
- First stop: Hagosudong Beach - those famous white sand beaches are real!

- Beach hopping: Geommeolle Beach and Biyang Beach
- Tried snorkeling (crystal clear waters!)
- Relaxed at a seaside café with local makgeolli
- Shopping for souvenirs - peanut everything!
Evening
- Joined a small group for a local cooking class
- Made traditional Korean dishes with other travelers
- Stargazing on the beach (minimal light pollution = amazing views!)
Day 3: Final Explorations & Departure 🌅
Morning (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
- Final sunrise viewing from my favorite spot
- Visited Sanho Beach - the most secluded and peaceful
- Brunch at a cliff-top café overlooking the ocean
- Last-minute photo session at the colorful houses
Afternoon (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM)
- Packed and checked out of accommodation
- Final scooter ride around the island
- Bought last-minute snacks and gifts
- Caught the 4:30 PM ferry back to Jeju Island

Safety: Felt completely safe throughout my stay. Locals are incredibly friendly and helpful. Many speak basic English.
Transportation: Electric scooters are the way to go! Easy to rent and perfect for the island's small size.
